Costa Rica is for couples who want more than a beach. Golden Pacific sand, rainforest canopy, volcano views, hot springs and wildlife on the doorstep, all wrapped in the easygoing "Pura Vida" way of life. Direct flights into Liberia put you on the Guanacaste coast within the hour, where a growing collection of all-inclusive and luxury resorts host beautiful beachfront and garden weddings. And because everything is close, many couples pair a beach wedding with a few nights in the rainforest near Arenal, which turns a honeymoon into an adventure.
Direct flights to Liberia from Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver (seasonal from some cities).
We book every major all-inclusive and luxury brand in Costa Rica, including Riu, Dreams & Secrets, Planet Hollywood by Royalton, Westin & JW Marriott, Barceló & Occidental, Hilton, Azura and more, along with boutique hotels and rainforest lodges. Every area below has options from intimate adults-only to big family-friendly resorts, so tell us your vision and we'll match you to the right one.

Costa Rica's beach country: dry, sunny Guanacaste in the north, and lush, wilder coastline as you head south.
The heart of Costa Rica destination weddings. Just 20 to 45 minutes from Liberia airport, Guanacaste has the country's sunniest, driest climate and its biggest choice of resorts, from lively all-inclusives on Matapalo Beach and Playa Conchal to secluded luxury on the Gulf of Papagayo. Sunset catamaran sails, golf, surfing and easy day trips to Rincón de la Vieja volcano keep guests busy.
Best for: Larger guest lists, first-time destination wedding couples, short transfers, reliable dry-season weather from December to April.
South of Guanacaste the pace slows down. Sámara, Nosara and Santa Teresa are relaxed surf-and-yoga beach towns with boutique resorts, adults-only hideaways and long, uncrowded beaches. A couple of hours from Liberia, and worth the drive for couples who want barefoot and low-key.
Best for: Intimate weddings under 40 guests, adults-only escapes, honeymooners who want a beach town rather than a resort strip.
Manuel Antonio and Jacó, reached from San José airport, are where rainforest meets the sea: monkeys and sloths in the trees above the beach, national-park hikes, and boutique hotels perched on the hillside with sunset views. Fewer all-inclusives, more character.
Best for: Nature-loving couples, small boutique weddings, honeymoons combined with a rainforest stay.

The other half of Costa Rica, and the reason so many couples add a few nights inland.
The postcard volcano, natural hot springs, hanging bridges, waterfalls and zip lines, about three hours from either airport. Most couples add two or three nights here before or after the beach: an adventurous start to a honeymoon, or a rainforest ceremony with the volcano as backdrop for couples who want something truly different.
Best for: Honeymoon add-ons, adventurous couples, small rainforest ceremonies, hot springs at the end of a long day.
High in the mountains, Monteverde is misty, green and magical: cloud forest canopy walks, hummingbirds, coffee farms and cool evenings. A quieter add-on than Arenal and a favourite for couples who want to slow right down.
Best for: Nature and wildlife lovers, couples escaping the heat for a few days, a quiet pause in the middle of a honeymoon.
