What Makes RIU Different
RIU offers a wide portfolio, with both family-friendly and adults-only options across the collection:

Free Wedding Packages: What That Actually Means
Free Wedding Packages are available at select RIU properties, and it's worth understanding what sits behind that before you plan around it.
A free package generally comes with conditions: a minimum number of room nights booked through the resort, a minimum length of stay, and sometimes restrictions by season or property. None of that makes it a bad deal. For a lot of couples it's a genuinely good one. But it does mean the answer to "is our wedding free?" depends on your guest list and your dates, not just the resort.
That's exactly the kind of thing we walk through in this session, and exactly the kind of thing worth asking about before you fall in love with a property. The RIU Wedding Packages also include customizable options for couples who want more than the base package covers.
Choosing Between RIU Palace and the Classic Hotels
This is where most couples get stuck. A RIU Palace Wedding costs more per guest but the properties are noticeably more upscale, and for a group used to a certain standard that difference matters.
The Classic Hotels keep the per-guest cost down, which is worth real money when your list is 60 people and everyone is paying their own way. We'd steer you toward Palace when the group can absorb it and toward Classic when the priority is getting everyone there at all.
A RIU Palace Wedding is also the better fit if you want the ceremony photos to look elevated without moving to a boutique property.
